Valentine is one of the biggest assholes that you'll probably ever meet. He seriously doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself, and will try to bite your head off if you bother him a lot. He doesn't like people to tell him what to do, and usually only makes him do it more. He has an addictive personality, and if he tries something, he's most likely to get addicted to it – like how he's addicted to cigarettes and heroin. He's very touchy about some subjects, like how he mangled his wrist, or family for that matter. He's not someone who's sure he'll be a great dad, just because he's afraid he'll be to much like his father, and he doesn't want that. Val can be sweet when he wants to be, but generally isn't someone that is nice. He has to be really be in the right mood to be nice. He was born just before his twin sister, Harper. His father was instantly abusive to val, harper, and their mother. His father didn't seem to want children, but their mother kept the twins anyway. His father would drink, and snort cocaine on a daily basis, and just about anything would tick him off and cause him to cause a scene. Val always took the beating for his sister, always took the blame for anything that harper did, just because he loved his sister. He would take the beatings, show up to school covered in bruises, cuts, black eyes, and he would always just say he fell. He called himself clumsy a lot, and would fake falling down stairs just to show he wasn't joking. He learned to become a very good liar at a young age. When valentine was nine, his father came after him, and threw him down the stairs, breaking his wrist. His father refused to take him to the hospital, and his mother was to afraid of his father to actually do anything about it. So, he learned to wrap it up and after a few years, it fused. He has no ability to move his left wrist anymore, and it's completely messed up, without the bandage it looks horrid and scary how he doesn't feel any pain in it anymore. When he was fourteen, his father kicked him out, and that's when he met Angel. Angel was a new girl in town, also a huge heroin addict. She soon got Valentine into it, which made the pain of his shattered ribs, his mangled wrist all disappear. Valentine fell had for Angel, and when he was sixteen, he moved into her house with her parents, sine they found out that his father kicked him out, and his mother was dead for a year and a half. He lived with them for two years and when he turned eighteen, he got his own little apartment in the city of New Orleans, [where they all lived] and six months later, angel moved in with him. Then one night about six months ago, they did it and now she's pregnant, and he's here because he wants to be the dad his father never was.
