London Bridge is falling down, Falling down, falling down, London Bridge is falling down, My fair Lady. Build it up with wood and clay, Wood and clay, wood and clay, Build it up with wood and clay, My fair Lady.Wood and clay will wash away, Wash away, wash away, My fair Lady - - - - - - - - personality. personality. personality. personality. personality. massimiliano, or “max” for short, is like most teenagers of his similar socio-economic background and upbringing. he's from a very well-off, large italian family with a strict disciplinarian for a father and a doting and affectionate mother – which translates to him being spoiled rotten, self-entitled, and immature. he's never had any real responsibilities, asides from making fairly good grades and excelling in football, in the hopes of being accepted into his dream college, ucla. and although he's been at st. valentine's for about a month now, his paternal skills haven't exactly kicked in yet. not that he isn't coming around and starting to take his girlfriend's pregnancy more seriously, but... he's still unfocused, with his priorities jumbled, and will tune her out when espn is on. or poke her tummy and call it a “food baby”. and call her “preggo”. when it comes to parenting classes, he has a tendency to overlook the purpose of learning anything, and instead, settles for cracking jokes and making all of the exercises, such as diaper changing, a competition than as a preparation for the future. and he's been reprimanded, on multiple occasions, for tossing and throwing the plastic demonstration baby around like a football. since his family has disowned him and he has to depend on himself for finances, he's got a job as store clerk at abercrombie in the westfield galleria. though... asides from that, he's not used to mundane tasks that he usually had personal chefs, chauffeurs, maids and housekeepers hired to do for him, like cooking, cleaning, and driving him around. hence, he's pretty damn bad at all three. seriously. he set the toaster on fire... because he didn't know that he was supposed to butter the bread after, not before. a great chunk of his paychecks are always devoted to paying tickets and fines for speeding, running red lights, and illegally parking. and he expects the staff members at st. valentine's to do his laundry and to make his bed, not for him to do it, himself. long story short? max is... a major work in progress. Rock a bye baby on the tree top, When the wind blows the cradle will rock, When the bough breaks the cradle will fall, And down will come baby, cradle and all. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - history. history. history. history. max was born into a rather traditional italian family – big, loud, and close-knit. and while his father was always stern and demanding of his son to live up to his name of being “the greatest” at everything that he pursued in life, his mother was always more affectionate and nurturing. and come to think of it, despite the both of his parents loving each other and him, albeit in their own vastly different ways, the only other thing that they ever truly agreed on was their mutual dislike for aurora de'lioncourt. no, not initially.. but particularly around the time that she begun to date max in high school. well, no. particularly around the time that she begun to date max in high school... and got pregnant. because you see, his parents didn't mind him sowing his wild oats and being young and carefree. but they did not want his life to be ruined, or for him to be bound to a girl like her – of whom was not italian, not roman catholic, and no longer pure or chaste. and then it was taken into consideration that the two were still minors at the time, as well unmarried. and with it being max's senior year in high school, they had wanted him to focus on his studies, exams, college applications, scholarship opportunities, and more importantly, football. he had been the star running back on the varsity team at his high school, and already, scouts from all of the united states, like the university of california, los angeles, had been interested in giving him a full ride and a lot of perks upon graduating and attending their school. it had been all apart of the plan that would put him on the fast track to playing professionally in the nfl. until... aurora announced wanting to leave their hometown to attend some school for pregnant teenagers. torn between what he wanted and what was right, max allowed aurora to fend for herself, leaving for bellevue. and he continued with his 'plan' – the plan that he had been planning since kindergarten, and after his first day of participating in little league, peewee football. but after four weeks without having her around and not hearing from her, worrying about her welfare with her being in some strange, new place all alone... he mentioned wanting to at least visit her to his parents. a huge argument ensued, and finally, they agreed to him visiting her, though on a single condition – the window of opportunity for her to get an abortion was closing in. so if he could convince her on his trip to just go through with it, for their own selfish independence and futures (sans a newborn baby), then all would be forgiven and they would forget anything ever happened. in fact, they'd just say that the pregnancy had been a complete rumor and aurora had been shipped to rehab to deal with an eating disorder instead. and he agreed. but once he got to st. valentines and saw her, and even a barely-noticeable ridge to her usual flat and trim stomach, he couldn't find it in his heart to tell her his real reason for being there. and once he phoned up his mother and father and gave them an updated report of them keeping the child after all, they flipped out. they disowned him, too. told him that he was a shame to the family, that the child would be a bastard born out of wedlock, and that aurora was just a teenage whore. they also told him that his decision to stay would be the worst mistake of his life and that they wouldn't support him and his decision in any way. they even cut him off financially and ended all sources of communication with him, telling him that putting the baby up for adoption and dumping aurora would be the only way that he'd be welcomed back and they could reconcile. currently, and to this day, aurora doesn't know anything about any of the drama back home. and max's new plan... is kinda to never tell her about it.
