Today had just been one of those days where nothing seems to be going alright, and all Cat could do was cry. Her parents had called earlier that day to tell her that her older brother had been killed in a recent car accident. She hated that she wasn't there and that it took them so long to tell her. He had always been there for her and holding her up when she thought she was about to fall down. Now he was gone just like that and it took them days to even tell her.
Not like the news wasn't bad enough, but she got into a fight with her Aunt over the stupid dishes not being put in the correct order. Cat saw it as ridiculous. As long as they were put away what did it really matter. She was supposed to tell her Aunt about her brother, but still hadn't done so. She needed to just absorb it herself before anyone else interfered. She just wanted to break down and cry. This was the worst thing she could have to hear in her mind.
Cat decided she need to just get out of the house and so she decided to walk down to Olin Park, it was usually calm there and she just wanted to sit. The swings were all open and she took her place at one. Before she knew the tears were running down her face and she started screaming, "Why did you have to take the one person who mattered in my life, Do you hate me that much?" Her screaming wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. She was simply just letting it all out because she had held it in all morning long so far and she just couldn't do it any longer.
She felt like it was her own life that had been taken, even though she hadn't seen him in a long time, they talked every single day. Which all this explained why she hadn't heard from him in a while. She felt like she just didn't want to breathe anymore. The tears were unstoppable and before she knew it she was laying in the bark crying and yelling some more. "why?" was all she could manage to get out again and again. She felt, gone.
